Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal

Trekking Trail Nepal welcome you to the International Airport of Kathmandu. Our representative will transfer you to our Hotel in Tourist Hub of Thamel, where you can kill your spear time.

After you arrival in Hotel, Team Member of Trekking Trail Nepal will meet you over tea-coffee for official requirements of Chomolhari Base Camp Trekking in Bhutan with Nepal.

We complete our official documentation with details of trip.

A half day sightseeing tour and Bhutan Preparation.

After Breakfast in our hotel we start our Kathmandu Half Day Sightseeing Tour with Guide.

Arrival Paro and Transfer to hotel.

After Breakfast we will drive to the Airport of Kathmandu for our flight to Paro, Bhutan. We fly near to the Himalayas for 1 and Half our before we touch down the land of thunder dragon. We suggest you to take a seat on left side to experience the Himalayas with aerial view. On clear day, we will view many peaks of Himalayas, But Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Kanchanjunga are the tallest one to explore before you see Mt. Chomolhari; the highest peak of Bhutan. We transfer to Hotel in Paro and explore surrounding on ourselves.

On Breakfast, we will meet our Bhutan Country Representative of Trekking Trail Nepal to complete the official procedures. We hike about 3-5 Hours with 2 hours drive to explore this Taktsang Monastery. On our way back to Hotel we will explore the Paro Town too.

Soi Thangthangkha Jangothang trek.

The Day 3 Itinerary of Chomolhari Base Camp Trekking in Bhutan is the shortest however we need to gain the significant elevation makes one toughest day. Trek from Jangothang to Lingshi.

Today the Trekking Trails of Chomolhari Base Camp Trek ends up in a final human settlement with abnormal drops to the Paro Chhu. Our trekking trail cross the beautiful lake of Tshophu which is situated at 4380 meter above sea level. May be you want to swim once! Furthermore we need to hike steep to reach pass of Bhonte-La, and camp at next of Luinghi for overnight for beautiful views and peaceful nature.

Lingshi—Shodu, 8 hours.

Today is the longest hiking in the whole itinerary of Chomolhari Base Camp Trek. Not only tiring trek, the climb is tough and painful to your chest too. The Steep climbing up the valley above river will offers you the impressive gives of Natural Beauty of Bhutan. With the intense tough hike we will reach at 4930 meter of Yeli La, from where the trails goes curved and narrow that you have to mind with your big backpack if you have any. Crossing the small small rivers with no bridge, trail full with hummocks of local grass with smooth rocky terrain will create more adventure to the Chomolhari Base Camp Trekking Trip. Today we will camp next to sandy slopes with green tree lines.

Shodu Barshong.

Barshong—Dolam Kencho

Dolam Kencho—Dodena—Thimphu

Today we will hike down to the capital city of Bhutan, Thimpu following the major trekking trail. We hike through the major downhill following natural clean stream through the dense forest of bamboo towards the Wang Chhu. Then in easy 15 minute walking towards south direction on rugged trekking trail hits the road in Dodina. Dodina is the small town near Thimpu which is situated at elevation of 2640 meter high above sea level. Then within short drive we will reach Thimpu to stay in Standard Hotel again.

Thimphu—Paro.

After breakfast we start our drive back to Paro from Capital of Thimpu. This 51 Kilometer Himalayan highway will take 3-5 Hours. A visa is required to visit Nepal. A standard tourist visa is valid for one month costs US$ 40.
A visa is required to visit Bhutan. Trekking Trail Nepal will arrange for the clearance, and the final visa will then be sent to you via email (if you are flying directly to Bhutan) or handed over in India (if you have a stopover).
