Day

Drive from Kathmandu to Maccha Khola.

After breakfast in Kathmandu, we will start our jeep drive for the 10-day Manaslu Trek. We will dive all day long with a few breaks to Maccha Khola which is about 9999 Km away from Kathmandu and the furthest town is connected with an accessible motorable road. Although this trail passes through the fields and the bank of Budi Gandaki River. Although we drive all day the local people do their day-to-day job on the farm, market, and highway through the window worth experiencing in our 10 Days Manaslu Trekking Package.

The newly constructed road between Soti Khola and Maccha Khola, on the side of the Budi Gandaki River, is full of adventure, mud slush, boulders, and river crossings. However, it's better to enjoy a bumpy ride than hike on a dusty trail. This challenge does not go long, Just 1 and a half hours.

Although we hike along the river of Budhi Gandaki by changing the side, the views and rugged terrain are surprising. Small tea shops, snacks, and lunch places like Khola Beshi, Tatopani ( Hot Spring ) Dobhan, and Yaru Phant offer us short respective breaks. The cantilever bridge just crossing the Yaru Khola is one attraction of the day of Maccha Khola to Jagat day in our 10 days of Manaslu Trekking.

Jagat to Deng.

As usual, our day starts after breakfast. The trekking trail for today is a little more difficult than yesterday. As yesterday we follow the same river till Nyak Phedi. Small towns like Salleri, Sirdibal, Ghatte Khola, Philim, Ekle Bhatti, Nyak Phedi, and Pewa add to the attraction of the day. After lunch and permit entry at the Philim check post, we left behind the trekking trail to Tusm Valley and crossed the Budhi Gandaki River, however, we crossed a few more times today until we reached our camp of Deng. The deep and steep gorge of river Budhi Gandaki after Nyak Phedi to Pew reminds you are somewhere different than you ever imagined. Deng to Namrung.

Today's hike from Deng to Namrung is one of the longest days on our 10-day trip to Manaslu Trek. However, the beautiful, and traditional but small places like Rana, Bihi Phedi, and Ghap welcome us. Although we see a few mountain peaks from the Manaslu Himalayas Range but not significant. Let’s talk about this tomorrow.

Namrung to Samagaon, Later hike to Birendra Lake.

The day comes with more adventure, spiritual, easy, and enjoyable. Small typical towns like Lihi, Sho, Lho, Shyala, and Sama ( Ryo ) need to cross till we reach Sama Village for our camp. After a short rest in our Hotel Manaslu, we hike for about 1 hour to explore the beautiful and pristine Birendra Lake just below Mount Manaslu and Manaslu Base Camp. Mountain peaks like Himal Chuli, Simnang Himal, Manaslu ( Kang Pungen ), Manaslu North, Nadi Chuli, Bahrain Peak, and Himal Chuli make our Manaslu trekking day of Namrung to Samagaun exciting. In addition, there are beautiful monasteries, Chorten, Buddhist prayer falls, and mane walls that bless us for our success in the 10-day Manaslu Trek.

Hike from Sama Gaon to Samdo village. Later we enjoy the acclimatization hike after lunch.

This is the shortest day in our 10-day hiking trip to Manaslu, just about 8 Km. Although there is no lunch camp or any options we can carry some light brunch or snacks. If you want to reach the camp of Samdo just in the lap of Samdo Peak that is also possible. However, our itinerary for the day does not conclude after we reach our hotel. To make our Larke Pass 5106 m high pass a grand success we will do 1-2 hours of acclimatization hike after lunch or tea break in Samdo. Where does Acclimatization hike? We are not going to the Gyala Pass of 5953m or the Rui-La Pass of 4998 m to the border of Tibet ( China ) and Nepal. Hike form Samdo to Dharmasala crossing Larkya Bazar.

Breakfast and hike to Larke Base Camp widely known as Dharmashala or Larke Phedi. After lunch, we hike to the upper viewpoint, which gives you more acclimatization, better sleep, and easy hiking to the Larkya La pass.

Trek down to Bimthang crossing Larkya La pass 5,106m. Larkya La Pass day.

Dharmashala to Bimthang town, next to Mount Annapurna II and Ponder Glacier Lake. This is the ultimate day of our trip where we cross the highest point 5106m 10 Days Manaslu Trek. Today we start our day as early as possible according to local circumstances and weather with a light-packed lunch and tidbits. Since the camp area of Dharmasal is high and open, it feels like we are the first team to start the day for Larkya La Pass, but with a few minutes of hiking in short breaths we can see the row of moving flashlights, we follow the same. Sometimes with falling stars, sometimes with rolling sweats in the thin air. With easy 4-5 hours we reach our major attraction, the highest point, and the biggest attraction of Larkya La Pass. The welcome board makes you feel you Win the world by completing 10 Days Manaslu Trek, But it’s not. The main challenge is going down the steep trail to Bimthang. In between, we have a few lunch shops at Bimthang Phedi to serve some hot soup, snacks, and a quick lunch.

Trek down to Dharapani where we end our 10 Days Manaslu Trek.

Trek to Dharapani, which is part of the famous Annapurna Circuit Trek where we end our Manaslu Trekking Itinerary of 10 Days. As we hiked down lots yesterday, today it's not easy for your knees, but increasing the amount of oxygen in the air makes your body relaxed with every step you make. The beauty of Mountains, Nature, Gorges, Rivers, Glaciers, lakes, and forests has not ended yet. Small named towns like Hampuk, Yak Kharka, Kharche, Gho ( Goa or Ghow ), Tilije, and Thong, need to cross to reach our camp of Dharapani. This is the town on the side of Marshyangdi River which is the popular town of Annapurna Circuit Trek widely known as Round Annapurna Trekking or Throng La Pass. We enter our trekking permits, stamped exit of Manaslu 10 Days Trek, and spend our last night in the mountain lodge with the roaring river.

Drive from Dharapani to Beshi Sahar and continue to Kathmandu.

Drive back to Kathmandu via Beshi Sahar via local jeep. We will enjoy lunch and later we start our drive back to Kathmandu with a more luxurious car or jeep or van to Kathmandu.
