Itinerary

Day
1

Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal

Day of arrival at Kathmandu International airport. Welcome by the representative of Trekking Trail Nepal with display board at the airport with a brief of the program. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Early morning drive to Lamosangu via Araniko highway passing through the Newar towns of Banepa and Dhulikhel. We will view amazing panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Lantang Lirung and Dorjee Lakpa. Then slowly the drive will lead to Panchkhal and ascend to a ridge behind Dolalghat following Sunkoshi river to the north. Then we will reach Jiri and continue to Bhandar.

We will have plenty of time to explore the villages of different castes like Tamang, Sherpa, Chhetri, Rai, etc. then hike up for about 4 – 5 hours towards the Lukla via tea houses enjoying tea and local dishes.

A gradual climb will lead to Lamjura pass at 3530m. via the amazing views of mountains covered with rhododendrons. Then we will head to Goyem at 3300m which is the highest point between Jiri and Namche Bazaar. Here we will have our lunch then downhill to Tragdobuk at 2860m and then finally to Junbesi at 2675m. Overnight stay at Guesthouse at Junbesi.

6 hours trek to Nunthala via Solu by climbing a ridge at 3080m. Then the trail will head to Salung at 2650m. we will pass through a hospital and airfield at Phaplu and the district headquarters and the bazaar at Salleri. After leaving from Salung, we will head to Ringmo Khola at 2650m. We can view the Apple garden. The trek will descend and ascend until arrival at Trakshindo pass at 3170m. After reaching Nunthala at 2320m., we will rest and stay overnight for the day at Guest house.

We will start our trek from Nunthala and head to Bupsa danda after having breakfast. We will cross the Dudh Koshi river at 1480m and then slowly walk through the meadows, terraced paddy fields and small settlements and rest at Chautara for some time. Following the trail of the river, we will reach the Rai hamlet of Jubing at 1667m, and gradually ascend to the village of Khari Khola at 2400m and finally reach at Bupsa danda. Overnight stay at Bupsa danda.

A gentle trek to Chablung/Chheplung passing through the village of Kharte via dense jungle inhabited by the monkeys. We can enjoy the amazing views of Cho Oyu (8135m.) and then climb till we arrive on Khari La pass at 2840m. we will then reach Puiyan village at 2770m., after crossing the wooden bridge over the river. Continuing the trek for about 7 hours, we will reach Chablung traversing the rocky path via Surke (2290m.). Overnight at Teahouse.

We will start the trek from Chablung and cross the Tharo Kosi river. We will view the amazing views of Kusum Kangru (6367m). Then we will head to Phakding passing through the ridge marked with the colorful mani stones. Slowly we will climb towards Benkar (2710m.) following the valley of the Dudh Koshi river. We will traverse through the dense woods of Rhododendron, giant figs and Magnolia. After crossing the Kyashar Khola, we will enter the Sagarmatha National Park (established on 1976) of an area of 1148 sq.km. Beyond the national park entrance, we will descend to the rocky steep towards Jorsale crossing the 120m long suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river. After walking for some time, we will the central business hub of Everest region, Namche Bazar. We will then rest after a moderate trek of about 7 hours and spend overnight here.

Explore the beauty of Namche Bazaar and a short trip to Syanboche Airport (located at the height of 3700m) with sightseeing around. Rest day to avoid altitude sickness and vertigo or any health or physical adjustments to be made for the trip.A beautiful view of Mt. Everest for the refreshing and smoothing effect of tiresome trip accompanied by a short excursion of Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Culture Museum.Overnight rest at the Guesthouse, as usual, inclusion of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

To visit the Tengboche Monastery situated at the altitude of 3860m, surrounded by the Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, and other mountains. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

To reach Debouche via the Imja Khola and then heading up towards Pangboche, lying between copious Mani stones and then to the popularly known “Summer Valley” – Dingboche with the breath taking views of the Lhotse, the AmaDablam and the Island Peak. End of the eleventh day by resting at the guest house for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hiking trip to Chhukung valley via Nagerjun which is at distance of approximately 5 hours, a spot for panoramic view of Lobuche East (6119m), Lobuche West (6145m), Kangtega (6685m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), and AmaDablam (6856m). An unforgettable view of Mt. Makalu (the world’s fifth tallest peak) can be seen if the weather seems favorable. After lunch, a relaxing sunbath can be taken to relieve the stress of hiking. Overnight stay at Dingboche for the day also including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Walk of about 5 hours crossing through the Trekkers Aid post which is located at Pheriche for the treatment of the trekkers. It is run by the Western Volunteer Doctors and assisted by The Himalayan Rescue Association. On the way down to the Khumbu Glacier, we can enjoy the magnificent views of the exhilarating mountains of the Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mahanlangur Himal, etc covered with colorful prayer flags around the Chortens and the Mani stones. After arriving at Lobuche, we will check into the Guesthouse for the overnight stay with all meals included.

We will begin the trek for about 8 hours walk from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorekshep. It will take about 2 – 3 hours to reach Gorekshep. We will enjoy the beauty of the Khumbu Glacier on the right throughout the walk enjoying the amazing Khumbu Icefall as the glittering white Confetti flying in the air. After arriving at the Everest Base Camp, we will rest for sometime exotic nature of the Mt. Everest and its surroundings. The privilege of being able to make to the Everest region is worth some to travel a foreign land and cherish the beauty we have endeavored during the trek. Then we will head back to Gorakshep and stay overnight at the Guesthouse with all meals included.

The central spot for the fascinating views of the Mount Everest along with the Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Chagatse, Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Pumori, etc. The hike leads back to Gorakshep and walk down to Pheriche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

A hike descending to Phungki Thanka along the Imja River, via Kyangjuma way back to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at a tea house in Namche Bazar.

A walk along the steps crossing the suspension bridges above the DudhKoshi then ending the Jiri Everest Base Camp Trek at Lukla for the day. The enchanting views of the plains, rhododendron forests make the scene more memorable and mind relaxing with High Alpine Peaks of Himalayas. A celebration can be organized for the success of the memorable trip to Everest region. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Itinerary of Jiri Everest Base Camp Trek ends on day 17 but 3 more days you have to bare our Guides and Team of Trekking Trail Nepal.

Early morning flight back to Kathmandu will give us spare time to rest or to explore around the Kathmandu or to shop gifts or souvenirs to family and friends. The Lukla flight is exciting but scary. After the guide will drop you at the hotel, he might leave unless you invite him for a meal. As this would be the last meeting with your guide for this trek, you would give him some gratitude if you are satisfied with his services and friendliness. We could plan other exciting activities like Paragliding or Rafting or Jungle Safari if you are interested in exploring more Nepal. We would happily assist you and plan a packaged accordingly. Breakfast is included.

As the weather of Lukla is unpredictable, the flight schedule changes accordingly. Hence, we keep this day as Buffer day in order to avoid any kinds of effects to the inbound and outbound flights. Hence, we can utilize this day either wandering around the city or resting at the hotel.

Itinerary of Jiri Everest Base Camp Trek Package ends here. Departure day begins with a farewell breakfast. Trekking Trail Nepal will transfer you to the airport to catch up the flight to your home, at least 2.5 – 3 hours before the scheduled flight.
