Itinerary

Day

Arrival in Kathmandu.

Itinerary of Tsum Valley trekking starts with warm welcome at the Tribhuwan International Airport by the representative of Trekking Trail Nepal. Then we will escort you to the hotel. While on the way, a briefing about the further program. Rest for the day or roam around as per your wish.

One day Kathmandu Valley Tour.

Kathmandu valley tour around the world cultural heritages like Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa, Boudhanath stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and many others local sites. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Drive to Soti Khola.

After having early morning breakfast, we will drive for about 3 hours on the well-pitched road to Dhading Besi and then 4 hours or more to reach Soti Khola. The journey passes via amazing villages, rivers along with the view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, etc. overnight stay at the lodge.

Trekking to Machha Khola.

6 hours trekking to Khursani following the Budhi Gandaki river. We will pass through the Gurung villages and the terraced fields. Light clothes are recommended due to warm weather and continuous walking. Overnight at the tea-house.

Trek to Jagat .

8 hours trekking leading to Jagat from the Khursani. We will follow the trail of Budhi Gandaki River crossing the lesser cultivated areas. We will reach Jagat after climbing up the uphill. Overnight at Tea House.

Trek to Lhokpa.

Today’s destination is to reach Lhokpa at an altitude of 2240m. Trekking of about 7-8 hours passing through the amazing lush vegetation and the narrow valleys lead to the Lhokpa surrounded by the magnificent Mt. Shringi and Mt. Ganesh. Overnight at Tea House.

Trek to Chumling.

Trekking of about 3 hours to Chumling after having delicious breakfast. We will still follow the trails of Budhi Gandaki river for Manaslu round trek heading to Tsum Valley. We will reach the Gurung village where we will stay overnight at the camp and end of Day 7 Itinerary of Tsum Valley Trekking.

Trek to Chokangparo.

4 hours trekking to Chokangparo at the height of 3,010 m. by climbing up the dense pine forest to Chhekampar, a forbidden valley. This trek offers the view of Ganesh Himal. We will stay overnight at the camp.

Trek to Lama Gaon.

2 – 3 hours walking will lead to Lama Gaon. The trail will climb up through the local villages and the wider fields surrounded partly by pine forests. We can visit the Milarepa cave monastery after reaching the Lama Gaon which is situated about 45 minutes’ walk from the campsite at Lama Gaon. With overnight stay at the camp. End of ninth day itinerary of Tsum Valley Trek.

Trek to Mu-Gumpa.

4 hours walk from Lama Gaon to Mu-Gumpa at an altitude of 3,700 m. we will start our journey after having breakfast and then walk through the villages , crossing a bridge to get Nile. We will have our lunch in the village where Gurungs are the residents and they follow the Tibetan culture. We then slowly ascend to the Mu-Gumpa, the last human settlement of the Tsum valley. Overnight stay at the camp.

Trek to Rachen Gumpa.

5 hours trekking will lead back to Rachen Gumpa. Same trail is to be followed back to Phurbe but we will not cross the bridge this time as Rachen Gumpa is on the other side of the Lama Gaon. Overnight in the tea-house.

Trek down to Chumling.

Trekking down to Chumling for about 6 hours from Rachen Gumpa. Overnight stay at the tea-house.

Trek down to Philim.

After having breakfast at the Chumling, we will continue our trek to Philim via the dense green forest. Overnight stay at the tea-house.

Trek down to Lhapubesi.

The second last day of the trekking leading towards the Lhapubesi after having breakfast. We will walk for about 6 hours this day. Overnight stay at the camp.

Trek down to Sotikhola.

The last day of the Tsum Valley Trekking. We will trek down to Sotikhola. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

Drive back to Kathmandu.

6 – 8 hours Drive back to Kathmandu after having breakfast from Aarughat. Then transfer to the hotel for the rest or if you like to roam around. Overnight stay at the hotel.
