Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel.

After your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, Team member of Trekking Trail Nepal will transfer you to our hotel in the tourist hub of Thamel.   Refreshment, Brief meeting, Documentation and we will issue the permits of Upper Mustang Restrict Trekking area. You have free time to do last minutes shopping for your drive tour and enjoy the atmosphere of Thamel.

Day 2 Drive to Pokhara, Overnight at Hotel.

This special drive tour package Itinerary to Upper Mustang starts with tourist coach drive to Pokhara after breakfast.

You will travel with Upper Mustang Drive Tour Guide about 6-7 hours. After arrive in Pokhara our representative will transfer you to our hotel, After you check in to our hotel, on appropriate time you will meet our driver for Upper Mustang Drive Tour. Day 3 Drive to Tatopani via High Bridge of Kusma.

Itinerary Day 3 Upper Mustang Tour will start the drive after your breakfast. We will follow the good road from Pokhara to Beni which is about 95 Kms and another 20 Kms to Tatopani. Overnight at Tatopani after the enjoying Natural hot spring pool on the bank of scared Kali Gandaki River  Excursion and Attraction: View Point of Kande, High Bridge of Kusman and Natural Hot Spring of Tatopani. Places Cover: Kande, Lumle ( Most rainfall part of Nepal), Town of Kusma ( home of wrold second highest bungee, and world highest swing), Baglung ( Home of highest swinging bridges ), and Beni.

Day 4 Drive to Kagbeni via Jomsom and crossing Kaligandaki.

Itinerary of day 4 of Mustang Drive Tour takes you to the beautiful town called Kagbeni on the bank of Kali Gandaki River. The driving road is not good for today this 60 Kms long road might take 6-8 hours with tea stop, lunch, and other breaks. Excursion and Attraction: Andha Galchi ( World Deepest Gorges) which lies in between of Annapurna I 8091 m and Dhaulagiri 8167 m, Rupse waterfalls, the Delightful apple capital of Marpha and Tukuche and Monasteries and forts of Kagbeni. Places Cover: Villages of Dana, Ghasa, Leta, Kalopani, Kobang with apple gardens of Tukuche village and Marpha Village and the town of Jomsom.

Day 5 Kagbeni to Ghimi passing Samar.

Day 5 itinerary of Upper Mustang Drive Tour follows the dirt and rough road following the Kali Gandaki River till Chuksang and cross the river to Chele. The apple garden of Tange, red rocks hill between Chuksang and Chele, River through rock tunnel of Kali Gandaki just below Chele village are the major attractions before lunch.  After Lunch, we will drive the steep hills of Dajori La 3,735 m and up to Samar 3,945 m. In Syanboche we will stop for Chungsi Cave after crossing the Yamda La Pass 3,860 m and reach Ghami after crossing Ghilling village and Nyi La Pass 4,010 m. Excursion and Attraction: Gurung, old village and apple garden of Tangbe, twin bridge over Kali Gandaki of Chele, tunnel through beautiful red rocky hills, Chungsi Cave of Syanboche, Viewpoints, and pass of Dojari La 3735 m. Places Cover : Tangbe, Chhusang, Chele, Samar, Syanboche, Ghiling and Ghami.

Day 6 Ghimi to Lo Manthang.

Upper Mustang Drive Tour Itinerary of day 5, we will reach to Lo Manthang by crossing Charang village. Today is the shortest drive day in our drive tour of Upper Mustang. As possible we will do some excursion of Land of Lo and walled city. Today we will cross the Ghimi River and Charang River and Dokpolo River. Excursion and Attraction: Longest mani wall of Upper Mustang, Pass of Tsarang La 3870 m, Sungda Chorten and Lo ( Day ) La Pass of 3950 m near Lo Manthang. Place Cover: Vilage of Charang or Tsarang and Lo Manthang.

Day 7 Lo-Manthang Excursion.

Today we will take one day rest in the walled city of Lo Manthang. We will do the side excursion and visit Namgyal Gompa, and Tingkhar Gompa. In addition, we will visit the old four-story royal palace. Furthermore, we can drive up to Koro-La border of Nepal China, Niphu, and Choser Cave.

Day 8 Lo Manthang to Jomsom.

We will drive almost 7 hours in the desert valley of Upper Mustang to reach the major town of Mustang; Jomsom. After breakfast we will start to drive down to Jomsom on the same drive trails by passing Charang, Chami, Ghiling, Syanoche, Samar, Chele, Chhuksang Tangbe, Kagbeni and Ekle Bhatti.   Jomsom is the biggest town on the trail of Annapurna Circuit Trek, Muktinath Trek, Tour and Upper Mustang Trek - Tour. A small airstrips lies east of town makes Jomsom a transit to start ends Treks and Tours in the Mustang and Muktinath areas. You will enjoy the overnight in the fancy lodge with wide ranges of foods, drinks, and titbits.

Day 9 Jomsom to Pokhara.

Day 9 is the longest day of our Upper Mustang Drive Tour Itinerary. Today we will drive around 7 to 9 hours to reach Pokhara by clearing 85 Kms rough driving trail till Galeshower and 71 Kms blacktopped road to Pokhara. Although we drive the same road, the views will be different by the angle of the sun and the direction of driving. We will cross Marpha, Tukuche, Kalopani, Leta, Ghasa, Dana, Tatopani, Typlying, Galeshower, Beni, Nayapul, Lumle and reach Pokhara for dinner and celebration of Upper Mustang Drive Tour with the driver, Guide, and supporters. Spend overnight at our hotel.

Day 10 Tourist coach drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast in our hotel in Pokhara, we start our travel on the wheel for about 7 hours to Kathmandu. Today we follow the same Highway as in the itinerary of Day 2 of Upper Mustang Drive Tour. Our guide will drop you at the Hotel say the last goodbye for this Driving Tour of Upper Mustang. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 End of Upper Mustang Drive Tour with Trekking Trail Nepal.

After breakfast, Trekking Trail Nepal team will transfer you to Airport or bus terminal. As this Itinerary of Upper Mustang Drive Tour will end today on day 11.
