Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking is one of the most popular short trekking around the Kathmandu valley. This Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking is also known as Kathmandu Valley Rim Trekking. An Easy and Short Trek in Kathmandu Valley. Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking commences from Budhanilkantha, the north of Kathmandu valley ending to Nagarkot and then drive back to Kathmandu. Budhanilkantha is famous for the amazing huge holy shrine of Lord Vishnu, the creator of universe lying on the snake. The actual trekking is to Shivapuri village on the north-eastern part of the valley. Shivapuri National Park is situated in the transition zone between the subtropical and temperate climate with unique diverse vegetation. Shivapuri village itself is a hub of ancient culture and traditions. The Utis species (Alnus nepalensis), oak forests, bamboo forest, pine forest, rhododendron flower forest, etc with the wildlife like common langue, Indian bangolin, Indian civet, Sloth bear, leopard, etc are being conserved and preserved in this Shivapuri National Park.

Shivapuri Nagarkot Trek - A Short Trek in Kathmandu

Shivapuri Nagarkot Trekking has a popular viewpoint for the awe-inspiring views of Himalayan ranges like Ganesh Himal, Langtang Massif, Manaslu Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, etc. The viewpoint is Chisapani to where we will hike from Shivapuri. Shivapuri is the home of Lord Shiva that lies to the north of Kathmandu. From Chisapani, we will trek to Nagarkot till the elevation of 2100m offering magnificent views of the above-mentioned Himalayan ranges. We will then explore Chisapani and head towards Nagarkot. Nagarkot is an amazing tourist spot, especially for sunrise and sunset views. We will enjoy the cool breezes of the Himalayan ranges in Nagarkot with mesmerizing views. After an early morning breakfast, enjoying the sunrise; we will then trek back to Kathmandu.
