Kokhe Danda Trek Review: A Hidden Gem with Stunning Views and Natural Trail

If you are searching for a tranquil and off-the-beaten-path trekking experience in Nepal, the Kokhe Danda Trek is an absolute must. This adventure was made unforgettable thanks to Trekking Trail Nepal and their incredible team.

We begin on a 4-day journey in October 2024, combining Kokhe Danda, Mohare Danda, Poon Hill, and Short Muldai Trek. The itinerary was expertly planned by Apar Datta, the Adventure Consultant at Trekking Trail Nepal. Apars' professionalism and attention to detail stood out from the start. He answered all our questions - big and small, and tailored the itinerary to meet our needs, making the entire planning process seamless and enjoyable.

Our guide, Lokendra Rai, and porter, Jaya, both locals, were equally remarkable. Lokendras' vast knowledge of the area added depth to our trek, while Jayas' cheerful assistance made the journey smoother. Their local insights enriched our experience, allowing us to connect more deeply with the culture, traditions, lifestyle, mountains, flora, and fauna of the region.

The trek itself was breathtaking. Kokhe Danda offers a refreshing alternative to busier trails like Poon Hill. With its serene atmosphere and fewer crowds, we enjoyed uninterrupted panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, rolling hills, and lush forests. Each day brought new wonders, from vibrant rhododendron blooms to magical sunrise and sunset vistas at Mohare Danda and Mulde Viewpoint.
