After breakfast we start first day of Short PoonHill Trekking fro Pokhara. With drive of 2 hour, we reach NayaPul 1075m, which is the starting point of our trek. For the first 25 minutes we follows the Himalayan River called Modi which comes from Annapurna. While for next 3 hours we follow another river called Bhurungdi Khola till our lunch in Tikhedungga. After lunch we start to hike about 2 hours and reach our camp in Banthanti.
Day 2 of 3 Days Short Poon Hill Trekking from Pokhara is one of the easy, short and beautiful day. Trekking trail is mostly covered with green dense forest of himalayan Oke, different species of rhododendron, Robusta, Woodfordia, Fruticosa with many other.
With the easy trekking about 2-3 hours we will reach the populare town of Ghorepani. Ghorpani is a small town situate at 2865 meter above sea level just in the lap of Poon Hill. Not only Poon Hill, The town of Ghorepani also offers the beautiful peak of Annapurna South as closest, Mt Dhaulagiri 1, 2 and 3 with Nilgiri as will Tukuche Peak. Ghorepani is the closest town to Poon Hill. There is not lodge and tea house in Poon Hill Visitor park.
After enjoy our lunch and little rest in beautiful view from room, we start to hike for Sunset towards Poon Hill. Today we enjoy the of Himalayas but with little more contrast and less people. Trek down to Ghorepani, Dinner and wait for Sunrise.
Itinerary of 3 Days Short Poon Hill Trekking from Pokhara is divided into 3 part. This is not only because of longest day in our PoonHill Trek, but for easy to understand.
PART 1: Early Hike to the PoonHill and Back to Hotel for Breakfast.
Time: 3 to 4 hours.
PART 2: Trek down to Nayapul from Ghorepani
Time: 5 to 6 Hours
Meal: Breakfast at Ghorepani and Lunch in Tikhedungga
PART 3: Drive back to Pokhara
Time: 2 hours.
